We founded this gym to create a training atmosphere full of positivity and great energy, where anyone–regardless of their fitness and competition objectives–can achieve their best “fighting form.”
Whether you’re an aspiring MMA fighter or a new parent who is looking to get back at it, there is a place for you at ACG. As a result, we have the most well-rounded set of instructors and fitness professionals assembled anywhere in Florida.
We strive to provide you with the highest level in world class training and instruction in an environment that makes it a pleasure to come and train every day with like minded, positive minded people.
We are the un-corporation. Our mission is to provide you with all the tools you need to reach your fitness goals in a clean, vibrant, engaging environment you will be proud to call your GYM. We won’t hold you hostage like other fitness clubs, you’ll want to stay because we care!
While all sports involve risk, our policy is to put safety first. As long as you follow the rules of the gym and the instructions of the trainers, training is very safe. We have a very respectful and friendly training environment. No one will put you in sparring if you don’t want to. The workout is always tailored to your goals and desires.
Light to full contact sparring is not conducted until the students have reached a higher level. Beginners may occasionally practice “contact sparring” which uses light taps instead of punches. This exercise is for distance, timing and footwork training only and is completely safe.
If you still have fears and doubts about sparring, we recommend that you take a personal lesson with one of our instructors so that he smoothly prepares you for group sparring.

Our results are satisfied customers and great reviews on Google.
No-Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a variant of BJJ without the traditional Gi uniform. Students will wear clothing such as leggings, rash guards, etc. No-Gi BJJ also requires much more precision in movement.
Beginning students should always start with a traditional gi to build on their basic techniques and footwork first. However, there are no strict conditions from which one should start in the first place.
We will always devote more time to building a base for students who join us as newcomers.
No-Gi or No-Gi BJJ training is heavily focused on using your balance to defeat opponents of various body types. It also pays great attention to the technique of a secure grip, joint locks and wrestling techniques.
While there is no right or right answer that requires more effort, No-Gi requires more precision in movement.
For those who start from 0 will be taught the basics of self-defense and the basics of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, we adhere to BJJ training standards.
Students will start with white belts and progress to blue, purple, brown and finally black belts on their way with us.
Intermediate to pro level fighters in BJJ or No-Gi BJJ, we have a class for all levels that focuses on skill set development.
There is also a weekly training open mat where you can practice wrestling with different levels of students.
It is one of the most effective martial arts for self defense.
By lowering your opponent to the ground and keeping him there, you can attack for submission.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or No-Gi BJJ allows anyone to use leverage, grappling, and positional movements to defeat a larger, stronger opponent. As a fact, a more fragile girl can cope with a man by mastering the skills of BJJ.
Muay Thai at Deerfield Beach is suitable for all skill levels. This is a sport that can get you in fantastic shape as it focuses on a full body workout. Because only in Thai boxing are used the famous “eight weapons” according to the number of limbs of the body – punches, elbows, kicks and knees.
Experience it for yourself by joining our free trial class today!

MMA is a more varied and complex sport than boxing. MMA revolves around a combination of different techniques from different disciplines of martial arts – this is the same boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, taekwondo, wrestling, bjj, etc.
Boxing, on the other hand, focuses more on punching and kicking agility.
Not at all. Absolute beginners can join. We also conduct classes for amateurs and professionals in separate groups. Contact us and tell us about your experience or lack of it, so that we can find the right group for you.
It depends on the discipline, day and time of the class you choose. Our group classes are usually attended by 6 to 20 people.

Wrestling is a real sport (Olympic sport). Professional wrestling is an entertainment show designed for shock and theatrical value. Safety is the main concern in the fight. Mats are designed and used for wrestling. Protective devices such as head protection, knee pads and adjustable shoes are used. Wrestling is a sport of control (not violence) to achieve a tangible, measurable result.
Wrestling can ignite competitive drive, and despite the tension on the mat, many successful wrestlers are respectful yet confident and humble off the mat. Respect, compassion and sportsmanship are shown even at the highest levels of competition, as seen at the end of matches. Essentially, wrestling is unique in that it can be aggressive without being violent, as the goal is NOT to destroy or harm the opponent, but to outwit and gain control.
Sooner or later, every fighter is defeated. Nobody likes to lose, but the mentality of wrestlers is to turn a loss into a new challenge. It is the ability to overcome adversity on and off the mat that really makes a wrestler.
Wrestling is different in that during the competition, each athlete must rely on their individual capabilities. You must face adversity one on one and call upon your own will to win. Each wrestler on a team has some potential and responsibility for scoring, so it’s unlikely that superstars will lead a team with the most points.
Our classes are for both men and women. The curriculum is no different and we set the same standards regardless of gender. In our experience, women usually don’t hesitate to “beat up” their sparring partners. This was very clear when we recently ran a Valentine’s Day promotion and 75% of the requests we received were from women who were keen to bring their boyfriends or husbands to the American Combat Gym.
There are definitely some similarities! Especially in the fact that both sports have punches, but the similarities end there.
The fact is that boxing is only punches and defensive actions in the form of dexterous movements with legs and head tilts. The boxing arsenal is very large and this is truly a beautiful royal form of martial arts.
Thai boxing is all about toughness and a wider range of techniques through punches, elbows, knees and kicks. Not without reason, MMA fighters like to mix this style into their game on the battlefield, which makes them more dangerous in close combat due to cuts from the elbows and sharp knees.
